Removal services to Germany – how long does it take?

Usually, the delivery from the UK to Germany takes one or two days. However, every move is different, so the duration depends on a variety of factors. Long-distance moving will always take longer than local moving. Also, home moving (full load options – 20 and 30 cubic meters) will take less time than small removals, as it does not require additional stops. Your preparation is crucial as well – if you pack your valuables professionally, it will take less time for our polite driver to load them. Remember that you can always count on the driver – he will help you to load and unload the goods. However, if the collection or delivery takes place in the self-storage, make sure you arrange for somebody to assist our driver.

Bear in mind that we do not offer full-service moving, so it does not include packing service or storage facilities. Yet, our professionalism in transporting goods and the low price are worth making some effort to pack and unpack your belongings by yourself.

Moving to Germany with MyCheapRemovals

We do our best to make your move as hassle-free as possible.

  1. Firstly, you have to find out the total volume of the goods you want to remove. We have five volume options in our offer – 5, 10, 15, 20 and 30 cubic meters. Years of experience in the removal industry allowed us to learn that those volumes are most common for house or flat removals. Please be aware that 5, 10 and 15 cubic meters options are ‘shared services’ which means that your belongings will travel with other customers’ goods. You can fill out the inventory list or check our volume guide to find out what volume you require.
  2. Use our simple form, or call our customer service team on [phone_number] to get the quote. Requesting is free and has no obligation. You will receive an email with quotes including other available volume options – you can compare prices for smaller or bigger options in case you need some more (or less) loading space. Once you decide on the volume of your shipment, you can use the email with the quote to book a relocation service and secure the van and date.
  3. One of our customer service representatives will contact you to talk about the moving details: date and time of collection and delivery. We will stay in touch with you to update you on the progress of the removal process. If you have an urge to contact us on loading and unloading, we will be available.
  4. Our polite driver will arrive at the scheduled time to help you with loading and will stay one hour on the destination to give you a helping hand with unloading. If you think you may require more time please let us know in advance – we can arrange it with an additional small fee of £20 per hour. Please bear in mind that we do not offer packing services, so packing, unpacking, buying packing materials and securing your furniture, antiques and fragile items is your responsibility.

  1. Germany is sometimes known as ‘the land of poets and thinkers’ – or das land de dichter und denker; Bach, Beethoven and Goethe were all German, alongside composers Händel, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Wagner and R. Strauss. Some of the world’s greatest German philosophers include Kant, Hegel, Schopenhauer, Nietzsche and Heidegger.
